🗝️ Arrival & Check-In

Check-In Time

Check-in is available from 3:00 PM. If you need an early check-in, please reach out ahead of time and we'll do our best to accommodate you.

Getting In – Smart Lock

The Pond uses a keypad smart lock. Your personal access code will be sent to you via email/text 24 hours before your arrival. The code is valid only for the duration of your stay.

Enter your 6-digit code on the keypad
Wait for the green light and one beep
Turn the handle to open
The door will lock automatically behind you

Parking on Arrival

Assigned parking is in Stall #42, Level P1. Take the elevator in the parking garage to Floor 8. Turn left out of the elevator — Unit 804 is at the end of the hall.

Building Access

Your door code also works on the main building entrance. For the lobby, use the keypad to the right of the main doors and enter your code followed by #.

🚪 Check-Out

Check-Out Time

Check-out is by 11:00 AM. Late check-out may be available if no guest is arriving the same day — just ask!

Before You Leave

Load all dishes into the dishwasher and start it
Take out any garbage to the trash room (end of hall, Floor 8)
Return keys / access cards to the hook by the door
Turn off all lights, fans, and A/C
Lock the door behind you (it auto-locks, but please double-check)
Leave used towels in the bathroom — do not make the beds

We hold found items for 30 days. If you've left something behind, call or text us immediately and we'll arrange to return it to you.

📶 WiFi & Tech

WiFi Network

Network: ThePond_5G
Password: PondGuest2024!

For best speeds, connect to the 5G network. The 2.4G network (ThePond_2G) is available for older devices.

Smart TV

The 65" LG OLED TV is pre-loaded with Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+, and Apple TV. Use the LG Magic Remote — point and click. The TV turns on with the red power button. Press the Home button to switch apps.

Sonos Sound System

Download the free Sonos app and connect to the WiFi network above. Select "The Pond" from the list of rooms. You can stream Spotify, Apple Music, or any other service through the speakers.

Thermostat

The Ecobee smart thermostat is on the living room wall. Touch the screen to adjust temperature. Recommended settings: 21°C daytime, 19°C overnight. Please keep windows closed when A/C is running.

🍳 Kitchen & Appliances

What's Stocked

Coffee (ground, whole bean, pods) + filters
Salt, pepper, olive oil, cooking spray
Full set of pots, pans, and cooking utensils
8 place settings (plates, bowls, cups, cutlery)
Wine glasses and a wine opener

Induction Cooktop

The kitchen has an induction cooktop — it only heats up with compatible (magnetic) cookware. All provided pots and pans are induction-compatible. Touch the power button, then touch a zone, then adjust heat with + / –.

Espresso Machine

We have a Nespresso Vertuo. Pods are in the drawer below. Press the button to turn on, wait for the green light, insert a pod, close the lid, and press the button once to brew. Please rinse the drip tray daily.

Dishwasher

Pods are under the sink. Load dishes per the diagram on the inside of the door. Select "Auto" cycle and press Start. Please run it before you check out.

🫧 Laundry

Washer & Dryer Location

The in-unit washer and dryer are in the hallway closet (second door on the right from the entrance).

How to Use

Detergent pods are on the shelf above the machines — use 1 pod per load
Select your cycle using the dial (we recommend "Cottons" or "Quick Wash")
Press and hold the Start button for 2 seconds to begin
Dryer: remove the lint filter, clean it, then run on "Medium Heat"
Dryer takes approx. 45–55 minutes for a full load

Extra Linens

Spare towels, pillow cases, and a duvet cover are in the bedroom closet (top shelf). Help yourself if you need them.

🏊 Pool & Building Amenities

Heated Pool

The rooftop pool is on Level 15 and is available to all guests. Access with your room key card (ask at the front desk if yours doesn't work). Pool hours: 7:00 AM – 10:00 PM. Pool temperature is maintained at 29°C year-round.

Outdoor Grill

There is a shared BBQ area on the rooftop (Level 15) beside the pool. Gas grills are available on a first-come basis. Please clean the grill after use and close the propane valve when done. Grilling tools are hanging in the storage cabinet next to the grill.

Fitness Centre

The building gym is on Level 3, open 24/7. Towels are provided. Please wipe down equipment after use.

Elevator & Building Tips

Elevators can be slow during morning/evening rush — allow extra time
Package deliveries go to the concierge desk in the lobby
Noise curfew in common areas is 10:00 PM

🚗 Parking

Your Assigned Stall

You have one dedicated parking stall: Stall #42, Level P1. Enter from the alley off Beatty Street. Use your access card/fob on the panel to the left of the gate. The stall fits most standard vehicles.

Oversized Vehicles

The parkade has a 2.0m height clearance. If you have a truck, SUV, or van that may be taller, street parking is available on Beatty St (pay parking, 2-hour max) or at the Impark lot on Robson St (uncapped, daily rates apply).

Additional Vehicles

Only one stall is included. Visitor parking (#V1–V6) on Level P1 is available for a second vehicle at a daily rate of $15, payable at the concierge. These are first-come, first-served.

EV Charging

There is a Level 2 EV charger on Level P1 (Stall #C3). Cost is $0.18/kWh, payment via the ChargePoint app. Contact the concierge to reserve access.

📋 House Rules

Please Do

Treat the space as your own home
Communicate any issues or damage promptly — accidents happen!
Keep noise levels respectful after 10:00 PM
Take out trash before departing
Return all furniture to its original arrangement

Please Don't

No smoking anywhere in the unit or on the balcony (building-wide policy)
No pets (severe allergies in neighbouring units)
No parties or events — guest count must match booking
No candles or open flames inside the unit
Do not rearrange or remove art/decor items

Damage Policy

Minor wear and tear is expected and covered. If something breaks or is significantly damaged, please let us know immediately. We will always be reasonable — honesty is appreciated and we handle things fairly.
